Here are pictures of the lessons, students, and the creative facility.
Lessons
We buried this pumpkin filled with trash so we can see what will happen to the pumpkin and the garbage over time. We can't wait to dig it up on Earth Day!

We observed vinegar with all five senses, the smell and the taste weren't too good, but the sound when we put baking soda in it was pretty cool!
Somethings do not mix with water, but it's fun finding out what and why!
Gas fills up the container of the balloon, but what happens when we pop it?
We can classify animals by coverings, appendages, and movement, so why not try classifying some pokemon!
We can count to 110 and this paper chain is proof!
We designed and created our very own shoe for Cinderella that won't fall off even if she dances!
We moved to the dark side and helped design and create the tallest tower for the witch to keep Rapunzel in!
We designed a boat for Ariel now that she has her new legs. We tried to see how many of her treasures we could fill the boat with and not sink it!

We helped make a bridge for Belle to escape the Beast's castle. We only had tape and popsicle sticks, and it had to support Belle!

We performed a reader's theatre of The Lorax!

We performed a reader's theatre of The Lorax!
We are ready to blow the audience away with our fluency, accuracy, and expression!
On the far end of town where the grickle grass grow, and the wind smells slow and sour when it blows, and no birds ever sing excepting old crows... is the street of the lifted Lorax!
The Lorax is sad about deforestation and pollution!
The humming fish are sad because their ponds are polluted with gluppity glup!
The barbaloots are sad about the deforestation, they have no truffula fruit to eat!
The swomee swans are sad about the air pollution, all the smogulous smoke has clogged up their throat!
And before they knew it in the factory he built the whole onceler family was working full tilt!
We biggered our factories, we biggered our roads, we biggered our wagons, we biggered the loads!
And we biggered our money, which everyone needs!
And at that very moment, we heard a loud whack! From outside in the fields came the sickening smack of an axe on a tree. Then we heard the tree fall, the very last truffula tree, the last of them all.
Oh woe is me the very last lonely truffula tree...

They're the two best friends that anyone could have!
We grow our minds and bodies here at school!
Do we have a future Olympian in our midst?
Swings move back and forth!
Gravity pushes us backward and our force pumping moves us forward!
I think gravity got a hold of our hair!
Whatever side goes down is the heavier side!
We grow our minds and bodies here at school!
Gravity is the force that helps us go down the slide!
You can build with anything if you use your imagination!
We built our own balance scale and checked to see which weighs more, a balloon filled with air or deflated balloon.
We noticed that the air in the balloon took the balloon's shape, but when we let the balloon go the air went everywhere!
We went on a fishing trip, but we followed the rule if the fish was too little we were sure to throw it back!
This fish was 9 tiles long, it's a keeper!
We traced our hands and measured the outline with tiles!
We traced our feet and measured them with tiles!
We measured the table and made sure the follow the rules of measurement: Measure in a straight line No gaps or overlaps, Label our units
We created our own owl after reading "Owl Moon". Then we measured its wingspan using different nonstandard units.
We created our own cardinal after reading a passage about cardinals. Then we measured its wingspan using different nonstandard units.
Did you know the bald eagle is a symbol for the United States? We created our own eagle after reading a book about American Symbols. Then we measured its wingspan using different nonstandard units.

One of our friends in our class has a service dog to detect her seizures, and she loves to listen to us read!
We love to curl up with a good book and read in the dark with a flashlight!

We measured using marshmallows of all sizes, and we compared the difference between the two measurements. Why does it take more mini-marshmallows? We know!

Indoor recess has its perks. We can let our inner architect thrive using Legos!
When we grow up we want to be a princess, a cop, a librarian, an olympian, a lighthouse owner, a basketball player, and superheros!
